Locating Hopkins Bloomberg Center (SAIS, Carey, AAP)

The Hopkins Bloomberg Center, located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, is within walking distance to three Metro stations (Metro Center, Gallery Place, and Mt Vernon Sq 7th St) as well as the Amtrak and MARC train services at Union Station.

This new facility, which opened in August 2023, is just minutes from the United States Capitol, the White House, Department of the Treasury, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, and the National Mall, and is made up of more than 420,000 square feet of space. The Hopkins Bloomberg center features 38 high-tech classrooms, a 375-seat theatre, multiple areas for group and individual study, lounges, and several roof terraces offer views of Pennsylvania Avenue and the Capitol grounds.

Bringing together all JHU D.C. programs under one roof, the new building serves as a home for all Washington D.C.-based students, faculty, and staff.
